Organization Plant Protection Service

The Plant Protection Service of the Netherlands (PPS) was established in 1899. It has been serving as the National Plant Protection Organization of the Netherlands since the adoption of the International Plant Protection Convention in 1951. The PPS is an integral part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and its head office is based in Wageningen.
