Good Laboratory Practice

The Programme

Test facilities are included in the Netherlands Compliance Monitoring Programme at their own request or at the request of national or international regulatory authorities. Test facilities residing in The Netherlands are obliged to notify the Inspectorate, as soon as they claim to conduct studies in accordance with the OECD GLP Principles. If not, (inter)national regulatory authorities will be informed that the GLP status of the test facility is not confirmed and therefore its study reports should be refused.
So far, inspections and study audits at Dutch companies are free of charge.

Foreign laboratories may apply for inspection, if
1. they submit evidence that data produced by them are or will soon be submitted to Dutch regulatory (receiving) authorities;
2. no recognised monitoring authority in their country has been established yet;
3. they are willing to bear the full costs of the inspection.
